Agiosoritissa (from the name of the chapel Agia Soros in Constantinople) - one of the types of Virgin Mary usually drown at the turn three-quarters of prayer gesture of hands. Images of the Mother of God of deisis researchers also refer to the type of Agiosoritissa. In the Greek tradition of such icons called Paraklesis (Prositelnitsa or Prayer), often (especially in art), this epithet has images of Our Lady, holding a scroll with the text of his prayers to the Son.
