: Oval Pascha Cross FRONT OF CROSS a representation of the icon
of the Decent Into Hell. In the Eastern Church the Feast of Pascha (Easter) consists of two feasts - first Christ's Decent into Hades (Hell) and His bodily Resurrection from the Dead. This Cross show Christ (the first burn from the dead) standing on the Cross holding on one hand the triumphant raised Cross and with the other he is holding Adam's hand pulling him from the grave. On the other side is a representation of Eve who with Adam represents the human race.
In the center in the form of a cross the Greek letters for "IC XC NI KA" meaning "Jesus Christ
Conquers." Around this is a prayer in Old Slavonic is Paschal psalm "Let God Arise and Let His Enemies be scattered..."
The remainder has a traditional Old Russian design reflecting traditional Jewish and Muslim geometric designs.
