The Holy
Trinity icon is known by two names: The
Old Testament Trinity and The Hospitality of Abraham.
The icon depicts the three angels that visited Abraham and Sarah and promised that when they returned Sarah would have a son, Issac. This is the "Rublov" version which shows the three angels alone. Earlier and most Greek/Byzantine versions of the icon also depict Abraham and Sarah and their servants preparing foods for their guests, therefore, the name "The Hospitality of Abraham".
