ICONS OF HOLY SAINTS

Orthodox christians believe that Holy Saints are aware of our problems and petitions and present them to God by interceding for us. Holy Saints led holy lives as human beings and after their earth lives they are close to God in heaven. Many of us feel that their prayers are particularly effective. It is why we ask saints to pray for us in times of our difficalties. People ask particular saints to pray for them to help in a particular problem or reveal their needs.
