

Orthodox icons often organize space differently from Western naturalistic painting. Lines may not converge toward a single distant vanishing point.
Is this bad drawing?
No. Traditional iconography intentionally does not make photographic realism its primary goal.
Why use this approach?
Iconographic space serves the sacred subject and invites theological encounter rather than an illusion of ordinary physical space.
